Decorative Pieces
Artistic accents that add personality and beauty to your space. Each piece tells a story and creates visual interest.
The Role of Decorative Art in a Considered Home
Decorative pieces are the finishing layer of a room — the objects that turn a furnished space into a personal one. A hand-thrown ceramic vase on a shelf, a forged metal wall sculpture catching afternoon light, a woven textile draped over a chair back — these are the details that guests notice and remember. The pieces in this collection are made by the same artisans who craft our furniture, applying the same level of material knowledge and handwork to smaller-scale objects.
Ceramics from Lumina Studio are fired at temperatures between 2,200 and 2,400 degrees Fahrenheit, producing stoneware that is both food-safe and resilient enough for everyday use. Metal wall pieces from James Rivera's Metalworks Studio are finished with protective clear coats that prevent oxidation while preserving the raw texture of forged steel. Wooden objects from Studio Organic and Wood Artisan Co. are treated with natural oil finishes — tung oil or Danish oil — that penetrate the grain rather than sitting on top of it, allowing the wood to develop a richer patina over time.
Curating Decorative Pieces for Your Space
Group objects in odd numbers — three vases of varying height, a single statement sculpture, or five small ceramics on a floating shelf. Mix materials to create visual contrast: a matte ceramic beside polished metal, or rough-hewn wood next to smooth stone. Wall art should be hung with its center at 57 inches from the floor (gallery standard) or 6 to 8 inches above a piece of furniture it relates to.
Our decorative collection starts at $95, making it an accessible entry point into handcrafted functional art. Each piece ships in custom packaging designed to protect delicate finishes, and includes a certificate of authenticity from the artisan.
